Financial Literacy for Dairy®
Join the 2024-2025 PDP Financial Literacy for Dairy training series this fall and winter, held at PDP Headquarters in Juneau, Wis. The multi-level, multi-session financial development program is designed to provide dairy farmers, veterinarians, nutritionists, and other agribusiness professionals a solid financial understanding and foundation and then stretch their thinking beyond current comfort zones.

Description

Join the 2024-25 PDP Financial Literacy for Dairy training series this fall and winter, held at PDP Headquarters in Juneau, Wis. The multi-level, multi-session financial development program is designed to provide dairy farmers, veterinarians, nutritionists, and other agribusiness professionals a solid financial understanding and foundation and then stretch their thinking beyond current comfort zones.

Level 1 & 2 sessions will be trained by renowned dairy-financial experts David Coggins, agricultural business and financial consultant, and Dr. Kevin Bernhardt, Professor of Agribusiness at UW-Platteville. 

Space is limited to 30 attendees per level and pre-assessment is required to complete registration. For additional information please call PDP at 800-947-7379 or email us at mail@pdpw.org.

Registered attendees will receive an email from PDP with a link to complete an online placement test to be properly placed into Level 1 or 2; you'll receive notification of your level placement immediately upon submission of the test.

 

Training Levels
LEVEL 1
4 total days of training in 2 sessions

  • Begins Nov. 13-14, 2024
  • Concludes Dec. 4-5, 2024

LEVEL 2
6 total days of training in 3 sessions

  • Begins Jan. 22-23, 2025
  • Reconvenes Feb. 5-6, 2025
  • Concludes Feb. 26-27, 2025

Training Agenda Per Day
Day 1: 9 a.m. registration, 9:30 a.m. training start, 8 p.m. training concludes
Day 2: 8 a.m. training resumes, 4 p.m. concludes

Training Cost
An online placement test will determine which level you place into. An initial registration fee of $675/PDPW member or $850/non-member is required for placement; this fee covers the cost for all Level 1 participants. 

PDPW Member Rate:
Level 1: $675 (No additional cost)
Level 2: $875* ($675 initial reg. + $200 L2 reg. cost)

Non-Member Rate:
Level 1: $850 (No additional cost)
Level 2: $1050* ($850 initial reg. + $200 L2 reg. cost)

*For all levels, a down payment of $675/$850 (member/non-member rates) will be processed during initial registration. If entering in Level 2 the remainder of the registration cost will be processed upon finalizing registration. For questions, call PDP at 800-947-7379.


Count On Us
Again this year, Financial Literacy for Dairy features its “Count On Us,” program, designed to build partnerships to improve financial reporting and comprehension of each dairy operation's profitability. PDP is proud to partner with the following lenders, financial institutions and consultants who are willing to provide partial scholarships to dairy producers participating in the Financial Literacy for Dairy program. Class attendees will pay the training program fee to PDP upon registration, then consult with their “Count On Us” partners to determine the scholarship amount.
