Collectors of the annual Wisconsin Farm Technology Days' Commemorative Toy Tractor can already place their orders for the 2010 model. The Pierce County WFTD organization is selling a 1/16 scale
1949 International Cub tractor with cultivator, which is being produced especially for this year's event, being held at the Peterson farm near River Falls on July 20-22.
Only 1,000 of the tractors were made with the Pierce County Wisconsin Farm Technology Days logo. The tractor will also be packaged in a customized box. The proceeds of the toys are being used to help
the host family pay for some of the expenses of holding the event.
"We have been attending farm and toy shows across Minnesota and Wisconsin," said Committee Member Jeff Hines. "There's been a lot of interest in the tractor from individuals and collectors."
The cost of this year's tractor is $80.00. For more information about this year's model or to order one, call 715-273-3377.
Farm Technology Days is an annual three-day event showcasing the latest improvements in production agriculture, including practical applications of recent research findings and technological developments.
