Prices Still Rising on NASS Weekly Cheese Survey

Dairy product prices are still on the upward trend on the National Ag Statistics Service's Weekly Cheddar Cheese Survey. The price of 40 pound blocks for Minnesota-Wisconsin averaged $1.61, up four cents from last week's price, while 500 pound barrels were two cents higher at $1.60. The price of U.S. 40-pound blocks were up three cents at $1.50 for the week ending November 14. The barrels were at $1.51, which is about a penny higher from last week.

Butter prices were up nine cents as the price for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.40 per pound for the week.

Nonfat Dry Milk prices fell by a penny for the week at $1.11 per pound for USDA Extra Grade standards.

And for 'other states,' blocks were up three cents at $1.49, and the barrels were at $1.57, which is just fractionally higher than the previous week.
