About
PDPW & It's History: It was March of 1992
when 10 dairy producers from around Wisconsin brain-stormed
about a professional dairy producers’ group. They
saw a need for educationally based programs that focused
on the business-side of their dairies, that would help
them make stronger, well-informed decisions in their own
operations. They envisioned dairy producers networking
with fellow producers to glean useful information.
From
this meeting blossomed the Professional Dairy Producers
of Wisconsin (PDPW).
PDPW
Today: We currently have over 1,500 members share
the common vision of the first leaders. PDPW provides
educational programs for our members, while offering a
forum for idea interchange and promoting the profitability
of the dairy business. PDPW embraces a positive and professional
image for the dairy business.
Special
Committees: PDPW has eight working committees
that consist of over 170 dairy producers and industry
leaders. These committees set the agenda for the year
on programs. The committees are; Membership, Agriculture
Community Engagement, Public Policy, Industry Action,
Public Relations, Education, Producer Meetings and the
Annual Business Conference Committee.
